SAILOR

I grew up racing dinghy sailboats in Maine, which to date is one of my favorite hobbies in the world. When the fog rolled in, we would learn knots from the older instructors. I love knots because they are so timeless, and so human, and because there's something lovely about admitting that you won't have a plastic zip-tie in the middle of an emergency. Call me old school! I carved these cufflinks out of wax and then had them investment cast in silver. One is a bowline and the other is a sheet bend.
